Lee Brooks is a New York-based composer for film and television. Specializing in intricate, modern orchestral arrangements, he’s known for crafting a wide variety of work, including compelling melodies, brooding emotional scores, and wonderfully romantic soundtracks.
He has scored original music and created sound design for a variety of films, advertisements, Web video and live events, working with talent such as Kronos and ETHEL string quartets, as well as orchestras and dance troupes around the world.
Raised in the Metro West area of Massachusetts, Lee was first trained in jazz, performing in various orchestras and ensembles. He later moved to New York to study composition and film, working at the New York City Opera and with Broadway composer Andrew Lippa.
In addition to his composition work, Lee also consults as a forensic musicologist, assisting artists and music companies in question of copyright infringement.
