New Documentary: State Street

New Documentary: State Street

Lee was asked to write underscore for three short documentaries, commissioned by Boston-based bank State Street. The three pieces are “Boston Debate League,” with an urban flare, “Women’s Lunch Place” about a safe haven for abused women, and “Maritime Apprentice Program,” which has a sea feel to it. Sheet Music for 2081

Sheet Music for 2081

When I originally released the sheet music for “Shine a Light,” the package was really just a cleaned up version of the live score I recorded in the Czech Republic. It was missing the material I recorded on my own, with other musicians or with samples, i.e. Vibraphone, Taikos, Crystal glasses, Piano etc. While the sheet music sounded good as it was, I decided that it was unfair and a misrepresentation to just present a partial score. So I decided to write out the remaining parts. Now, the sheet music for sale on the site truly is the soundtrack as it was produced, as it is heard in the movie. **I’m working on a piano solo version as well, which I’ll post as soon as it’s ready. Thanks as always to everyone who’s expressed interest, and happy holidays. p.s. if you’ve previously bought the score, there’s no need to buy it again if you’d like the remaining parts. Just send me a message. off

An Update on Lee’s Music for Sale

An Update on Lee’s Music for Sale

A little update on the sale of my albums moving forward. A new service, Band Camp, provides great flexibility, including the pay-what-you-want model, as well as a great iDevice-compatible experience, so I’ve started to incorporate them more an more into my workflow (namely, Etudes Modernes) and also for posting my albums moving forward. For now, iTunes and Amazon are still available, but will be supplemented by Band Camp.

New Commercial: Ad Council

New Commercial: Ad Council

Announcing my newest spot, a piece for Ad Council called, “Dress.” The ad features a woman walking through a department store with virtually no options, drawing a comparison to a world without awareness of your medical options. The music needed to be evocative of “elevator music,” but with a darker edge, and more sinister tone. Video after the break!
